"We were paying an exorbitant amount for our premium with another agency, due to an accident which occurred three years ago, for which we were judged at no fault. Fortunately we called State Farm, to see if they could offer a better rate. Their agent Taira was able to offer us a premium at half the amount we were paying. She was exceptionally friendly, personable and efficient. Within less than an hour we were all signed up. What a relief! I heartily recommend State Farm, and am sure they can't be beat. And if you call them -- be sure to ask for Taira! Catherine"

"Edited to add: I received a call from my agent Kurt Sayce and he left me a voicemail threatening me that he would have to “tell the truth” and followed by saying “you want me to put that all out there for the public to see?” if I didn’t edit my review. All he cares about is getting 5 stars. First of all, I didn’t appreciate that message and he never once apologized or asked to speak with me to ask why I wasn’t happy with how they handled it. A true agent would care about their customers and do everything to help them, not at this office! I got upset when Vicky, his wife was curt with me and took on a rude tone plus kept interrupting me. That was very unprofessional! I wasn’t informed that once I submitted our son’s information, he would automatically be added. That information should have been mentioned when I first called. The issue isn’t that our son had to be added as you call “the right thing.” It’s the fact that your wife was rude and doesn’t know how to treat your office’s customers. I have been a loyal customer to State Farm for over 30 years. The only reason Kurt Sayce is my agent is because my previous agent retired and he took over. I have never had the need to call my agent since no changes needed to be made to my policy except for this past month, when our son received his license. It would have been nice to have someone call me to explain why our son had immediately been added to our policy rather than receive an email stating he had already been added. I had a few questions regarding this matter and called his office and spoke with Vicky, his wife. She was very rude and kept interrupting me during our conversation. I have never been treated this way and was shocked that I was spoken to in this fashion. Not once did she, or her husband Kurt, my agent, apologize for how I was spoken to. He was also my mother’s agent but she changed agents due to how rude he treated her. They need to work on their customer service. ."

"Johanna, you sent us your son’s information so he could be added as a driver. That is the only way we could have gotten your son’s information. Once someone gets their license they must be added to the household, and they cannot be excluded. This is VA state law. Our office takes customer service very seriously and following the law. Vickie was attempting to help you understand this when you became angry and hung up the phone on her and filed a complaint with State Farm. State Farm confirmed with you via a letter that we did the right thing. You even contacted another agent and they confirmed that they would have handled it the same way. After getting confirmation from my team, State Farm corporate and another agent that we had to handle it the way we did, you decide to write a negative review! Why? If you have a better idea on how we could have handled this and stayed compliant with VA law, call me and we can discuss it further. We would welcome the opportunity to work with you and your mother again in the future. "

"1. Rate was almost doubled over last 3 years 2. Spamming with emails, texts, and phone calls requesting 5 star reviews annually 3. At least 2 employees talks in very rude way. Do this / Tell me [something you don't have to for our convenience] / Get this / You should make an appointment to see Kurt(during weekdays even if you work) Search online for better rates as I saved over 20% for a better coverage months ago and I am still getting spams."

"I had a claim while in the middle of no where in Virginia; needed to access my car. Kurt's office responded quickly and got the towe truck there within an hour, I was able to move on with my day, great service! Now I have both of my cars with Kurt and State Farm. "State Farm is an excellent organization and Kurt is a true representative of that excellence. In addition to Kurt's knowledge, great value is derived from his caring and taking the time to assess your individual situation so that the necessary and proper coverage may be obtained. Not only does Kurt provide the coverage, he educates policyholders so that they may make better informed decisions and prepare themselves for catastrophe. Just recently I performed a risk assessment of my home with Kurt. He over delivered and I am much better aware of my risk and we also improved my policy (this is because we a great discussion). The rates are awesome and the service is just as good. A GOOD NEIGHBOR!"
